Definitions
Healthy Hack+
A substance/method/technology/service/product etc. that can help people flourish by living longer healthier happier lives. No quackery: A Healthy Hack+ must be validated or voted by club members as trustworthy.
Motivation Trick*
A habit-changing, behavior-shifting, motivation-enhancing action or activity to promote and ease continuous adoption of a specific Healthy Hack until it becomes a sustainable habit.
Science Map^
An educated, well-proven blueprint of why and how Healthy Hacks+ and Motivation Tricks* work together, how they fit into everyday life, how they create a virtuous improvement cycles and how to measure their impact on health and wellbeing.
All Healthy Hacks+, Motivation Tricks* and Science Maps^ must meet the LL&F Club ground rules:
- Helpful, quantifiably, to a wide population, or to a well-defined cohort
- Reasonable burden (likely to be widely adopted)
- Ethical
How it Works
- Membership in the LL&F Club is by invitation only
- Club Members share with other members one or more Healthy Hacks+
- Members suggest new Health Hacks+ and review/support/critique existing Health Hacks+
- Members experiment and try these Healthy Hacks+ and report back.
- Members meet in person and online to exchange notes, cross-pollinate, and support one another
- The Club shares with the world the best ideas we discover and validate together

- Be nice :)
- Have fun!
- In our meetings we’ll have great people, as well as healthy and tasty foods, treats, and drinks
- We’ll also have an ongoing vibrant conversation online
- Substantiate what you teach: bring evidence, share personal experiences/data.
- Measure and be quantitative (where possible, otherwise be even more scrutinizing)
- Critic honestly (but be nice!)
- Do no harm
- Courageous moves are applauded by the group, subtlety is appreciated, and friendly competition helps everyone learn more and teach better
- Success and learning for any one member is success for everyone
